Bronze casting workshop

A Lineage Forged
in Tradition

The art of Benin bronze casting is among the world's most storied metalworking traditions — a legacy born in the royal courts of the Benin Kingdom and carried forward by master craftsmen across centuries. Benin Bronze Works continues this living heritage with four generations of family craftsmanship embedded in every piece we create.

Our studio on Ring Road, Benin City, is where raw ore and ancient technique meet contemporary vision. Each work is a dialogue between history and the present — honoring the Oba's court, the warrior plaques, the ceremonial heads — while meeting the demands of today's most discerning collectors, designers, and institutions.

Common Questions

How do I commission a piece?
Use our contact form below or call us directly. We'll discuss your vision, size requirements, installation context, and timeline. Once the brief is agreed, we issue a formal proposal before any work begins.
How long does a commission typically take?
Lead times vary depending on scale and complexity. A smaller collector's piece may take several weeks; larger installations for hotels or institutions naturally require longer. We'll give you a clear timeline in your proposal.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We arrange secure, professionally crated international shipping for all commissioned and collected works. Customs documentation and insurance are coordinated as part of the delivery process.
What does NCAC-registered mean for buyers?
NCAC registration places our studio within the formal cultural heritage framework in Nigeria, lending institutional accountability to our practice. It supports export documentation and provides collectors with an additional layer of provenance confidence.
Can interior designers work with you on a project?
Absolutely. We welcome collaboration with interior designers and creative directors. We can advise on scale, patina, and installation requirements, and we're happy to co-create mood boards during the briefing phase.
What materials do you use?
Our castings use bronze alloys consistent with the traditional Benin casting tradition. We do not use mass-produced or machine-cast substitutes. Every piece begins as a handmade wax model and is individually cast in our studio.
